Last Week VRFocus reported on indie developer Yorick van Vliet (Skydome Studios) releasing a teaser trailer for his upcoming virtual reality (VR) title Don’t Let Go!. Supporting the Oculus Rift CV1/DK2 and the HTC Vive head-mounted displays (HMDs), Don’t Let Go! is actually a re-launch with additional content and HMD support. It’s now launched on WEARVR as an exclusive for several months.

For those that haven’t heard about Don’t Let Go! the videogames mechanics are simple. Users hold onto their keyboards pressing down on both Ctrl keys. As the experience gets underway all manner of shock scares will be thrown at you, trying to make you jump and forget to keep holding the keyboard. Let go and it’s game over.

The original version of Don’t Let Go! took place solely in an office environment, with spiders, velociraptors, knifes and other methods utilised. With this new launch the original has been kept, but a new Desert area has now been included with new creatures and scares awaiting players.

Don’t Let Go can be purchased through WEARVR for $3.99 USD for all the above mentioned headsets.

The videogame was the first VR title to be released by Van Vliet after he became a finalist at IndieCade VRJam 2013. Since then, the developer has also released a second project Audio Arena for Samsung Gear VR.

VRFocus will continue its coverage of Skydome Studios, reporting back with any further announcements.
