The way you do a 360 spin frontside or backside is by using your shoulders. You might want to think about it as a top spinning or a ballerina, if you’re a girl, whatever helps you get the trick done.

Now when you wind up, if you’re spinning to your left, you’re going to want to have your left arm on your right chest. If you’re spinning to the right, you want your right arm over your left chest. So it’s pretty simple. Some people like to take their other hand and put it on the back and really wind up. So you’re going to want to get your shoulders all the way to the other side and let go.

People tend to put their tail on the ground, but ideally you’ll kind of be able to manage to kind of manual drop throughout the turn. So it’s very important you get enough momentum from your shoulders, guide them to your head, and send it out to your feet much like you’re doing a tic-tac or 360 no comply.

So it’s generally a very simple maneuver. It’s something most people can do. It’s very accessible, and ir’s easy. It’s really up to you how fast or slow you want to go. Some people can spin in a circle up to like 30 or 40 times. So it’s really your choice if you want to get one in or you want to get two in or five or ten. It’s really up to you.

Something you may have a problem with is having your tail slide out so mid-spin, especially for me. Spinning to my right I’ll often have my tail kick out and it looks more like a blunt slide. But what you really want to do is stick through the turn, swing your arms, keep your rotation going, and kind of land it when you’re ready to.

If you want one stick with one. If you want three or five just keep going. Make sure you wind up, get enough momentum to actually land that trick. And that’s how you do a 360 spin.
