It’s not long now until the launch of what has to be one of the HTC Vive virtual reality (VR) head-mounted display’s (HMD’s) most anticipated titles, Hover Junkers. Developer Stress Level Zero has been working on the project, which makes full use of the HMD’s Room Scale user-tracking, for a long time. Recently the studio launched an IndieGoGo crowd-funding campaign for the project. This week, that campaign has come to a close and has seen the group raise a significant sum.

Stress Level Zero received $117,116 USD through the campaign. It’s important to note, however, that this wasn’t a traditional crowd-funding project to get Hover Junkers made but instead designed to give fans a chance to pre-order the title and pledge certain amounts to get their hands on some bonuses.

Hover Junkers puts players on their very own hovercraft and allows them to take part in multiplayer battles. These consist of piloting the craft while also backing away from the control panel to trade fire with players on other vehicles using two guns. The title will be available at the launch of the HTC Vive but will also be coming to the Oculus Rift with support for the Oculus Touch position tracked controllers.
