As is the case every Thursday the Samsung Gear VR sees a new influx of videogames and apps arrive on the store. New from Zen Studios is CastleStorm VR, a tower defence style title that’s also launched on the headsets bigger brother Oculus Rift at the same time.

Castlestorm VR is an action-strategy RPG that mixes up 2D destruction with a vivid and stylish cartoon aesthetic. Players must use a legion of pit knights, soldiers, archers, griffins and other characters at their command against their enemies in castle vs. castle combat. Each castle is located at either end of the battle field and your forces must break through to bring the enemy to ruin. But at the same time they must defend their own fortifications from the enemy attacks.

Castlestorm VR is the second title from Zen Studios, previously releasing the well received Pinball FX 2 VR for the Oculus Rift on its launch day.

The Gear VR version currently has a limited time discount dropping the price down from £10.99 GBP/$14.99 USD to £7.99/$9.99. Oculus Rift owners don’t get that option with the priced fixed at £18.99/$24.99.

And anyone downloading the title for the mobile headset will need a Bluetooth gamepad to play.
