Fabric for VR Showcase with Unreal Engine 4 Announced for SIGGRAPH 2016

Fabric Software is set to host a number of panels and other attractions at SIGGRAPH 2016, Anaheim, the company has revealed. Key to the virtual reality (VR) development community is a showcase of Fabric for VR, a demonstration in which Fabric will showcase the Fabric for Unreal software and its integration into Unreal Engine 4.

Fabric Software will be at the Fabric booth (375) to show developers and artists how they can get their assets quickly and easily into Unreal Engine via the Fabric for Unreal integration. The demonstration will showcase the pipeline for architectural and design visualisation as well as the pipeline for film, TV and videogames. Interested parties can visit the booth and try the VR experience for themselves.

As previously announced, a Fabric Engine User Group session will take place on Tuesday, 26th July 2016, 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, at the Anaheim Convention Centre (Room 201B). Sessions will be dedicated to new and forthcoming features for Fabric Engine, as well as demonstrating the ‘Fabric for Unreal’ pipeline. The team will also host a rigging workshop featuring Kraken 1.2, Fabric’s cross-platform rigging solution, as well as customer presentations from Double Negative, MPC and Psyop. Registration for this event is now available via the official Fabric Engine website.

Finally, Fabric Engine will feature in two presentations at SIGGRAPH 2016, the details of which were made available alongside the Fabric 2.3 Launch announcement earlier this week. VRFocus will be in attendance at SIGGRAPH 2016, bringing you all the latest VR information direct from the show floor.
