Since virtual realities (VR) re-emergence over the last few years, there have been a lot of predictions and analysis of the growing industry and its future. In Epic Games’ fourth and final episode in its Sense of Presence documentary series, the video looks at the future of virtual reality (VR).

The short 5 minute video looks at VR’s future not as just an entertainment medium for videogames but also for communication, learning and much more. As with the other previous videos, Palmer Luckey, founder of Oculus VR opens proceedings. Luckey starts by saying: “Virtual reality is potentially the most connecting and human of all digital communication technologies.” Adding: “If you could have a virtual telecommunications system that allowed you to get all of your facial expression, all your body language, to make you feel like your actually in a room with a group of other people. I think that you would be hard pressed to find a better digital communication system.”

Also featured on the video is Alex Henning, co-founder of Magnopus, Adam Orth, founder of Three One Zero, the developer behind space-based first-person experience ADR1FT and Morgan Page, a DJ and VR creator.

VRFocus will continue to follow all the latest announcements on VR related news, reporting back any new details.
