EIGHT 360 camera tips and tricks for beginners. First, I discuss why use a 360 camera by discussing five 360 camera advantages. Next, I discuss basic 360 camera techniques:

1. Avoid a giant hand by using a selfie stick and a self-timer.
2. You don’t have to pan the 360 camera. Instead, you can pan electronically through keyframing.
3. Avoid the stitch line. Imagine your camera is a giant fan. If the fan will hit you or anyone else, you’re in the stitch line.
4. To make a selfie stick invisible, choose a selfie stick that is narrow enough to be within the stitch line. Also, keep the 360 camera in-line with the selfie stick.
5. To use the 360 camera as a third person view camera, use an invisible selfie stick (tip 4) and hold it at a natural angle.
6. If you want to save time in postprocessing, use direction hold and pan the camera as you would a regular camera.
7. Minimize glare or uneven exposure by aiming the stitch line toward the primary light source. Also, keep the camera clean and never lay it down on a hard surface.
8. A good rule of thumb when shooting photos and videos of people is to put the camera at chin or shoulder height, at a speaking distance (the distance that you would use when talking).
