Crytek’s announcement of CryEngine V was nothing short of shocking, not least with the inclusion of an asset marketplace and its new ‘Pay What You Want’ pricing model. VRFocus sat down with Frank Vitz immediately after the announcement to discuss these new additions to CryEngine’s arsenal, and how they could benefit virtual reality (VR) developers.

Alongside the announcement of CryEngine V was the reveal of a new benchmark VR experience, Project Harbor, created in collaboration with Basemark. Vitz discusses this new project – including it’s potential consumer release – and much more in the interview below. VRFocus will be getting hands-on with Project Harbor at the Game Developers Conference (GDC), San Franciso, this week and will keep you updated with all the latest details.
