Klabater and Carbon Studio have today announced that Alice VR (formerly known as A.L.I.C.E.) is set to take players to the desert planet of Speculo later this year. Currently in development for Oculus Rift, HTC Vive and OSVR, Alice VR will be made available from October 2016.

Separated from intergalactic confederation during the Great Colonial Wars, Speculo is one of the very few colonies where graphene, a vital resource for interstellar travel, can be mined. But that’s not all that lies in the sands. The player, awakening from cryosleep during a simple search for fuel, will explore this environment and discover what has become of the original settlement, the mysterious city of Mirabilis. That’s not all: your ship’s all-controlling AI is putting on the pressure. It’s up to you to gather the resources needed to continue on your mission for the interstellar Corporation. But during your stay on Speculo, your decisions will shape the planet’s future. To celebrate the announcement of a release date for Alice VR, Klabater and Carbon Studio have released a brand new trailer from the videogame, available below. Alice VR will be playable at Gamescom, Cologne, next week and VRFocus will be in attendance to bring you all the latest details.
