Today graphics card manufacturer NVIDIA launched its entry level 10 series product, the Geforce GTX 1060. The card will be available in a mixture of variations from several manufacturers, and now PC system builder MAINGEAR has announced its new VYBE VR desktop PC will include the GTX 1060.
The VYBE VR starts from $999 USD and the base model features an IntelCore™ i5 6500 3.2GHz/3.6GHz, NVIDIA Geforce GTX 1060 6GB, 8GB HyperX FURY, DDR4- 2666, 1TB Seagate Barracuda 7200rpm, 500W EVGA® 80 Plus Certified PSU. The system can be upgraded further with additional SSD options and dual and triple card configurations if required.
In fact all of MAINGEARS desktop PC’s can be fitted with the GTX 1060, for a cost effective gaming option that supports VR, although with the more expensive rigs users may want to spend a bit more to get the GTX 1070 or GTX1080 cards for even better performance.

NVIDIA’s latest GPU’s come with an array of advanced gaming features, including support for DirectX 12, NVIDIA FleX, NVIDIA Flow, NVIDIA HairWorks, NVIDIA PhysX Destruction and NVIDIA VRWorks’ Multi-Res Shading.
Along with NVIDIA’s recent hardware launches last week also saw a software first, the company released its first videogame VR Funhouse for free on Steam, with support for the HTC Vive head-mounted display (HMD).
