Developer Io-Interactive is releasing its latest version of assassination title Hitman over 7 episodes during 2016, and to mark the arrival of Episode 2: Sapienza a 360-degree trailer has been launched.
Published by Square Enix Hitman Episode 2: Sapienza takes players to the sunny coastal Italian town of the same name. The trailer is set out like a tourism video with a bubbly female narrator explaining all the wonderful benefits of taking a holiday in the town.
But look carefully enough and you’ll spot a familiar face wandering through the crowds in various disguises. Agent 47 isn’t there to sight see but the short immersive video doesn’t go into details.
The 360-degree VR video can be viewed via a compatible browser and controlled with a mouse or the WASD keys, it can also be viewed on a smartphone through the YouTube app for more involved experience. If you own a Google Cardboard or Samsung Gear VR head-mounted display (HMD) you can view the video through the YouTube app to get the full immersive experience.
Virtual reality (VR) head-mounted displays (HMD) will be getting their own version called Hitman GO which due to arrive next month.
