SEGA’s Hatsune Miku: Project Diva X HD has been showcased at various events for over a year, and yet the publisher has previously been reluctant to suggest it was ever anything more than a technical demonstration. Today however, SEGA Japan has confirmed that the videogame will launch in 2016, complete with PlayStation VR support.

Hatsune Miku: Project Diva X will is now available for PlayStation Vita, with Hatsune Miku: Project Diva X HD being a PlayStation 4 port of the popular title. The first PlayStation 4 release in the series, Hatsune Miku: Project Diva X HD will include a ‘Live Edit’ mode exclusive to the PlayStation VR head-mounted display (HMD).

Hatsune Miku: Project Diva X HD has been set for a 25th August 2016 release in Japan, though there is currently no confirmation of a release in western territories.
