If you’ve been reading VRFocus you’ll know all about Sony Computer Entertainment’s (SCE’s) press conference today at the Game Developers Conference (GDC) 2016. SCE’s virtual reality (VR) head-mounted display (HMD) PlayStation VR has now had its price and release date revealed, but there’s still more as new videogames have also now been confirmed for the device. The latest is Aldin Dynamics Waltz of the Wizard.

The title wasn’t verbally announced, rather it appeared on the video wall with a selection of other experiences heading to the headset. It’s the first indication of the videogame appearing on another platform other than the HTC Vive which it was originally confirmed for.

Aldin Dynamics recently revealed that it would be making Waltz of the Wizard available for free through the SteamVR platform, which supports both HTC Vive and Oculus Rift. The developer also mentioned it would be ‘looking into’ Oculus Touch support as it now has the hardware. What has yet to be confirmed is if the developer also plans to make the title available for free on PlayStation VR as well.

Waltz of the Wizard is an experience inspired by the likes of Harry Potter and Fantasia, where players can combine a range of ingredients, throwing them into a cauldron to discover spells and use them.

VRFocus will continue its coverage of Waltz of the Wizard, reporting back on any further updates.
