Earlier this week the virtual reality (VR) community heard from nDreams at the Virtual Reality Intelligence (VRX) conference and expo in San Francisco. Now the company is at VRTGO in Newcastle, UK, talking ‘Travelling without moving: Controlling movement in virtual reality’ with CEO Patrick O’Launaigh. VRFocus is liveblogging the talk below.

“Patrick O’Luanaigh is CEO of nDreams, the UK’s largest developer solely focused on VR,” the event’s official description reads. “This talk focuses on one of the biggest VR design challenges – enabling players to explore 3D environments in first-person both freely and comfortably. Patrick will share insight on the problem, different methods they have tried, the mistakes they made along the way, and the final control and movement scheme they have implemented in their immersive first-person VR adventure game, The Assembly.”
