VR FEST Reveals Further Details on Event

    With the new year fast approaching its less than a month until the Consumer Electronic Show 2016 (CES) in Las Vegas, Nevada, and the VR FEST which accompanies it. The virtual reality (VR) festival will be host a VR film competition in conjunction with Littlstar which is currently in the public voting stage, until the 15th December. But there will be lots more going on and now further details have been released.

    The four-day VR festival, between Wednesday 6th – Saturday 9th January, will feature the return of the VR Lounge and Nightclub Exhibit. Opening and Closing Night Gala Events take place on the 6th and 8th, hosted by Light Nightclub from 10pm until 4am nightly. These events are open to the public and are due to include some big names from the VR and augmented reality (AR) industry. There will also be the latest 360 degree, VR and AR content to demo via a variety of headsets including Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, Samsung Gear VR and Google Cardboard among others.

    On the Thursday, VR FEST’s VR Lounge Expo at Palms Casino Resort will feature over 100 VR filmmakers and exhibitors including: YouVisit, BipolarID, Casino VR, HTC VIVE, Sixense, Giroptic, Elementerra, DODOcase VR, Immersion VRelia, Unofficial Cardboard, Upload VR, 20th Century Fox, Big Sky VR, Selvz, Creative Technology Center, Lucid, VR Playhouse, Specular Theory, Radiant Images, AWE, EON Reality and Vortex Immersion.

    The Immersive Technology Alliance will be presenting a series of workshops and panels for the VR Lounge Expo with sample speakers including, Neil Schneider, Executive Director – ITA, Srinivas Krishna, CEO – AWE Company, Christopher Crescitelli – VR Fest Founder, James Jensen, CTO – The Void, Emmanuel Marquez, CTO – Starbreeze Studios, Han Jin, CEO – Lucid Cam, Roy Taylor, Corporate VP Alliances – AMD, Dario Laverde, Senior Developer and VR Evangelist – HTC, Manuel R. Gutierrez Novelo, CEO – ImmersiON-VRelia, Jose Luis Navarro, CEO – InMediaStudio, Louisa Spring – BiPolarID and many more.
