Epic Games has today released a new video showcasing a number of uses for their Unreal Engine 4 technology outside of the videogame industry. Within the show reel, centred on use of the engine within enterprise, a number of virtual reality (VR) experiences are included, some of which had not previously been revealed.

Some of the most famous marketing applications for VR, including Allegorithmic and IKEA Communications’ IKEA VR Experience – The Virtual Reality Kitchen, built for the HTC Vive, and NASA’s International Space Station showcase piece feature in the show reel, alongside lesser known pieces such as Realities.io’s Realities. Hammerhead VR has long been a licensee of Unreal Engine 4, utilising the development suite for motion-picture VR experience ABE VR and many other projects. The studio’s Boursin application is showcased in the video, as well as two other enterprise projects: Whirlpool and Sunseeker.

Three previously unseen applications also feature: Digital Crush’s Private Residence and two projects from Light & Shadows, representing Citroën and Airbus. All three of these projects have been developed using Unreal Engine 4 for the HTC Vive.
