Last month VRFocus reported on French developer Parallel Studios announcing its supernatural thriller Dark Days. Now the virtual reality (VR) experience for the Samsung Gear VR head-mounted display (HMD) has launched.

In Dark Days you play writer Jade Lacroix who’s lost in Death Valley. Stumbling  across an old dilapidated motel you must discover the secrets of this creepy place and what keeps happening to the locals who keep disappearing? But there’s a mysterious force that seems to be everywhere and ever present.

A puzzle title that’s been inspired by shows like X-Files and Twin Peaks, Dark Days is filled with weird events and jump scares to keep you on your toes.

Retailing for $7.99 USD the videogame doesn’t require a separate Bluetooth controller to get stuck into this horror adventure.

Dark Days has arrived just as Oculus VR has announced its first Summer Sale for both Gear VR and Oculus Rift. There’s lots of titles to choose from, with the Gear roster including CCP Games’ Gunjack and Climax Studios’ Bandit Six and Bandit Six: Salvo among them.

VRFocus will continue its coverage of Gear VR, reporting back with the latest content releases.
