This was a test of the Nikon KeyMission 360 to see how it copes with 360 timelapse edited into tiny planet and other effects.

The camera performs okay in certain conditions an not so well in others. It struggles with muddy images in shadows in the mid-distance. The 10 second timelapse limit is a real annoyance too. You can use superlapse for longer videos.

It would be much better to have the option to output image files rather than it auto creating a timelapse too, so that you can have more image editing control like with go-pro. Hopefully this will a firmware fix to give this.

The tiny planet and other effects were done in Insta360 Studio. Let me know if you would like a tutorial video of how I created this.

If you are interested in a pure 360 timelapse see my previous video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_5xtyrpeqd0

If it stops being cloudy this weekend I will try the night sky timelapse option, so subscribe to see that soon.

Comment if you have any questions or want any other types of videos created with this camera. And don’t forget to like so I know if this is the kind of thing you want to see more of 🙂
