If you like your videogames a bit weird and wonderful then MarsLit Games’ Unknown Fate might be worth keeping an eye on. The studio has recently revealed the title with a teaser trailer and the first story details.

A story-driven first-person adventure Unknown Fate that combines the real world with that of a surreal universe filled with strange characters.

As the studios’ description reads: “Engulfed in mystery, you’ll take cautious steps deep into the unknown, only to have your mind swept away by yet more questions, nibbling at your grasp of what you think is real and true – your certainties will start to crumble.

“With no way back and a strong urge for answers beating in your temples, you push on, striving to get   grip on the odd difficulties surrounding you, eagerly awaiting the moment your mind will be untangled when the thread of your journey finally unravels all the way. But there is some way yet to go…”

The trailer provides a brief glimpse at what’s in store from MarsLit Games, showcasing a dark moody title with a dream like quality to it. It looks like there won’t be long to wait until a few more details are revealed as Unknown Fate will be shown at Gamescom this month, although the studio hasn’t said if a playable demo will be available.

Unknown Fate is slated for release in Q3 2017 for PC, Mac, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The PC support will also include compatibility with HTC Vive and Oculus Rift head-mounted displays (HMDs).
