It’s the last long run for me on this marathon training plan. I had originally planned for a 20 mile run with 2 or 3 x 1 mile at half marathon pace (6:51) and 2 x 2 mile at marathon pace (7:14). But with my knee and ankle feeling a bit funny, I decided to ratchet that workout down to a moderate long run of 10-15 miles. Fortunately, things were feeling good, so I was able to get to 15 miles at a decent pace.
I’ll have one more run to round out the week, and then I’ll be heading into the taper. I’m not sure just how much I’ll be decreasing the workload for those two weeks, but I’m thinking it’ll be a lot of honing with short and frequent bursts at marathon pace.
Thanks for watching! Leave a comment to let me know you stopped by!

The charity runner of the week is Vasil Ganchev, who ran the Edinburgh Marathon to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support

I’m looking to donate $70 to a different charity runner every week. If you are running for charity, let me know in a comment, message me, or send me an email. I’d love to donate $70 to your cause and spotlight you on the channel.
