Quick test of the Insta360 One X with its Dive Housing. This is not really a surf video as much as just me testing it out in the surf. Not a great day surfing, but you can get the idea of what the Insta360 One X is like using the Dive housing. I am not using the “Venture” housing, because I need something more solid. Its nice they make 2 different housings. If you are serious about something in the water, get the dive housing. It works well.

You really need to set the camera up in one button mode when using this thing in action sports. The camera naturally turns itself off after just about 30 seconds, and you cannot get it back on to save your life when its in the housing because you cannot see the screen in bright light. This camera does not default to video mode, so you would have to turn it on, wait, then get out of photo mode, then start recording. Its just not doable when you are busy doing something significant. For one button mode, you just long press to turn it on and start recording, short press turns it off.
