Today was the original intended launch date for the HTC Vive, but judging from the altered deadlines of other head-mounted display (HMD) releases, the Vive isn’t far off with it’s official release date next Tuesday. VRUnicorns was more than ready for the initial release and its Vive launch title, #SelfieTennis, is available on Steam today.
With the eye-catching tagline of being able to play with yourself, #SelfieTennis is just what the title implies: playing tennis with yourself, but by teleporting from one side of the court to the other, in virtual reality (VR). VRFocus caught up with VRUnicorns at GDC this year where the team explained that they ‘don’t know anything about tennis’, but despite the lack of knowledge it has turned into a big launch title for the Vive.
