It was this time last year that Neptune Flux had just passed its Kickstarter and Green Light campaigns, and now after much development, Zoxide Games has released the first official trailer for the deep sea adventure title.

The story that leads Neptune Flux is still the same as what it was before, with players taking the role of Sarah, a member of the largest underwater colonisation organisation, A.Q.U.A., who is trusted with the mission of finding the source of energy that disrupts A.Q.U.A. operations. This then gives you the chance to explore the deep blue.

There are several features that define this title as a whole, including: the general exploration of the ocean, including its sci-fi wonder and supernatural secrets; survive and struggle as Sarah; earn cash by completing missions for A.Q.U.A., finding shipwrecks, and recovering valuable cargo; and upgrade your ship along the journey.

The trailer below gives off a feeling of how dark and somewhat ominous this title can be in the deep murky waters. Led only by your flashlight, Sarah comes across the many items that either further her journey or gives her money. It also looks as though you can come across features of a past world, with the sunken airplane at the bottom of the sea from when the world disintegrated into “a dust bowl”.

This isn’t a natively VR title, but it will be available for head-mounted displays (HMD) such as the Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, and PlayStation VR from 15th November.
