The 2016 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) is right around the corner, kicking off on 6th January 2016 just as the pre-orders for the Oculus Rift head-mounted display (HMD) go live. But while virtual reality (VR) fans will be flocking to Oculus VR’s site to pre-order the kit, there will be plenty more experiences on display at the event in Las Vegas, Nevada. Graphics processing company Nvidia is set to feature a huge showcase at this year’s event including the Oculus Rift. In fact, Nvidia will be hosting a brand new demo for anticipated sci-fi adventure, ADR1FT, at the show.
It’s been confirmed that Nvidia will have a fresh showcase for Three One Zero’s anticipated exploration title that will last a total of 30 minutes and run on the Oculus Rift’s Crescent Bay prototype. The first-person experience will be available during the launch window for the kit, which will kick off at some point in this first quarter of the year. It tasks players with exploring the wreckage of a horrific accident they’ve just survived that’s left them stranded in space and tasked with managing air supplies.
Elsewhere, Nvidia will also be showing off Epic Games’ popular demo for the Oculus Touch position-tracked controllers in Bullet Train. This first-person shooter (FPS) experience sees players realistically wield a wide range of weapons, effortlessly blowing up bad guys and mechs with pistols, shotguns and grenades. It’s yet to be revealed if Bullet Train will turn into a full VR title, though it remains on of VRFocus‘ ‘Ones to Watch‘ for 2016.
VRFocus is at CES 2016 to deliver the latest updates on the technology.
