Reload Studios’ World War Toons is making a play to be the big first-person shooter (FPS) launch title for PlayStation VR later this year. In order to drive gamer’s attention to the title the studio is taking a vary traditional approach to marketing an untraditional videogame experience, including new screenshots being revealed at regular intervals.

Set to arrive alongside the PlayStation 4’s virtual reality (VR) platform on 13th October 2016, as a free-to-play videogame, World War Toons has an opportunity to capitalise on the passion of early adopters and breed popularity through word-of-mouth and ease of access. In order to ensure the former a constant stream of information and new titbits is coming from the studio, including a selection of new screenshots from the videogame.

These new images are taken from World War Toonsnewly revealed capture-the-flag gameplay mode, known as ‘Pyramid Scheme’. Here, the Axis and Allies teams do battle under the watchful eyes of Ra Chicken, with both teams attempting to capture his idol and return it to their base.

World War Toons has been developed within the public eye for some time, originally revealed back in March of last year. VRFocus has been hands-on with World War Toons on numerous occasions, calling it: “AAA VR.”
