For a lot of the media technology is, arguably, often defined by film. If you wanted to read a story about robots for example the chances are it will be acompanied by a picture of a T-800 Terminator, especially if it’s about ‘will robots take over the world’ of course. Likewise any story about A.I. (Artificial Intelligence) is bound to have a reference to 2001: A Space Odyssey and HAL.

In the case of that film, HAL 9000 the ship’s onboard computer and A.I. malfunctions following two conflicting orders and attempts to bring about the destruction of the crew. In Dawn of Robots a similar scenario plays out, except that you take on the role of the A.I who is trying to prevent the humans onboard from shutting you down. Unlike the HAL 9000 you’ll be taking a more hands-on role in their demise as you defend your control room from assault.

A game for the Oculus Rift DK1 and DK2, Dawn of Robots is made by The Drunk Astronaut and according to the Oculus VR Share page requires a pre-0.6 SDK in order to run. A trailer for the videogame is below.
