If you prefer your racing games with two wheels rather than four, then Microids and Artefacts Studios’ Moto Racer 4 will be bringing some adrenaline bike action to consoles and PC in October 2016. The title was first announced last month, supporting PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC and Mac. Now the developer has revealed a new trailer which confirms the title will also support the PlayStation VR head-mounted display (HMD).

Moto Racer 4 is set to feature over 15 single player and multiplayer modes across both motocross and race bike scenarios. These modes will include King of the Hill, where racers have to get their timer down to zero first; Last Man Standing will eliminate the last player through a check point; Survival, where have to pick up time by going through checkpoints, lasting as long as possible; Catch-up involves your opponent starting with a headstart; and Golden Helmet where racers must gain the aforementioned golden helmet by picking it up from a checkpoint or knocking it off another player.

Other features include vehicle and rider customisation, AI characters have specific racing styles and behavioural traits and the multiplayer mode features 2 – 10 players.

While the PlayStation VR trailer only states a launch of October 2016, the same month the headset set is due to arrive, Microids and Artefacts Studios have previously confirmed a console/PC launch date of 13th October. As yet there’s been no specific mention by Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) on which day during October the HMD is due to arrive, but with a multiplatform launch scheduled for the same day it’s a good indication of when the device is likely to arrive.

As further details on PlayStation VR emerge VRFocus will bring you the latest announcements.
