Earlier this month VRFocus reported that Mega Spacehole, a new title for the Gear VR mobile-based virtual reality (VR) head-mounted display (HMD) from Samsung and Oculus VR, would be launching soon. Atlanta-based indie developer Furious Union confirmed that it would be launching the project for some $4.99 USD. Today, the title has indeed launched on the platform.

Mega Spacehole is a first-person shooter (FPS) in which players are tasked with defending themselves from approaching enemies by blasting them away. Set in a series of colourful arenas, players will build up scores, gain power ups and more. There are 30 levels that boast a sort of retro art style, with players fighting to earn the rank of ‘Mega Spacehole’. A gamepad is not required for the title.
