Perched nearly 8.000 feet above sea level, and cradled between peaks of the mighty Andes mountains in Peru, lies Machu Picchu. Constructed in the 15th century under the Inca Emperor Pachacuti, this sanctuary seamlessly melds architecture with the natural environment. The precision-cut stonework, absence of mortar, and its alignment with astronomical events make Machu Picchu a marvel of ancient engineering and a testament to the Inca’s deep cosmic reverence.
