Bolvërk Games has today announced the release date for Kittypocalypse, a videogame built from the ground-up to take advantage of virtual reality (VR). Kittypocalypse will launch first on Oculus Rift, with HTC Vive and PlayStation VR versions to follow. In Kittypocalypse, evil aliens have successfully taken over your home planet by dressing up as cute kittens. Across 20 different missions, players must repel increasingly difficult waves of cute but deadly kittens to secure the survival of their planet.
VRFocus recently got hands-on with Kittypocalypse, stating: “Kittypocalypse is as much an exercise in finding out how tower defence works in VR as it is creating an excellent entry into the genre.”

Set for release on 25th May 2016, Kittypocalypse will be available directly from Oculus Home for the Oculus Rift. No release date has yet been set for the PlayStation VR or HTC Vive editions of the title, but VRFocus will keep you updated with all the latest details on Kittypocalypse.
