The HTC Vive is due to begin arriving with early adopters on 5th April 2016, and those set to receive their head-mounted display (HMD) on launch day have begun receiving processing notifications. The notification includes details of the package contents that should be expected in this initial shipment.

The HTC Vive is unique in the field of virtual reality (VR) at present, thanks to its roomscale tracking technology. The Lighthouse base stations, which can be seen as part of the HTC Vive contents in the image below, allow the user to walk around a space of up to 15′ x 15′ and have their position accurately tracked within the virtual space.

HTC has confirmed that it has ‘already committed to over 50 VR titles at launch’, with more being confirmed seemingly every day. VRFocus will be bringing you plenty of coverage of the HTC Vive launch titles over the next week, so stay right here to keep up-to-date with all the latest happenings.
