The GoPro Max is the second generation 360 camera from GoPro. It features 5.6K video resolution, 16mp photos, Hypersmooth stabilization, 6 microphones and a revamped editing app.
Following on from the GoPro Fusion, which was a great piece of hardware but with a notoriously difficult workflow, the Max appears to have been designed with user friendliness in mind.
The GoPro MAx will be the first consumer 360 camera to come woth a full color LCD screen, allowing you to fully control the camera and preview images while shooting.
GoPro says the Max will be a 3 in 1 camera with the ability to shoot like a GoPro Hero, a vlogging camera and a 360 camera.
The smaller size and improved software alone should make the Max a worthy upgrade to the Fusion, but will it be able to compete with the Insta360 One X which has a slightly higher video resolution and is $100 cheaper?
