Alongside all the new virtual reality (VR) announcements coming from the 2015 PlayStation Experience for the PlayStation VR head-mounted display (HMD) the developers have been releasing a number of trailers for keen VR fans. Revealed earlier in the keynote was Highwire Games’ Golem.

The studio describe Golem in the trailers description: “Immerse yourself in a beautiful virtual world as you take control of giant stone golems and explore an ancient abandoned city.”

Highwire, an independent developer was founded by industry veterans in Seattle. Golem is the developers first title and has been built from the ground up for PlayStation VR and features original music from Marty O’Donnell the award-winning composer behind videogames Halo and Destiny. Jaime Griesemer a game designer who also worked on Halo, Destiny and Infamous Second Son, has been developing the VR controls. Griesemer appeared on a VR panel after the keynote alongside Dave Ranyard from London Studio and Tetsuya Mizuguchi, Enhance Games among others to discuss a wide range of VR topics.

Being an initial trailer there’s no current details on how far along Golem is in development, but VRFocus will be bringing further details of the videogame as Highwire Games release further details.
