Throughout 2015 we at VRFocus reported on a number of different sports taking up virtual reality (VR) either for training, advertising or broadcasting purposes. There were multiple NFL and college American Football teams, broadcasts from the NBA and its stars, deals made to broadcast football (soccer) cup competitions, the WWE, hockey games from the NHL and more.

One sport that has been curiously absent so far however, has been America’s national sport of Baseball. This however is changing thanks to a new experience created by PAVR in partnership with Fox Sports.

A Royal Reality charts the run-up to and including the first World Series win by the Kansas City Royals in thirty years. Using a combination of VR, socially sourced video footage and more PAVR have crafted a virtual tour of the greatest moments of the Royal’s season and the culmination of 2015’s World Series.

VRFocus will continue to bring you news and information on the integration on VR within sport throughout the year.
