Earlier in the week VRFocus reported on the news that Godling developer Sólfar Studios has teamed up with Nordic visual effects and animation house RVX to produce a new virtual reality (VR) experience named EVEREST VR. As the name suggests, the title will allow players to explore the iconic mountain from within a head-mounted display (HMD). The first trailer for the experience has already been seen but now a new set of images have arrived which are on display below.

A total of 16 images of the virtual recreation of the mountain can be seen here. The developers were able to produce this experience with the help of some 300,000 high definition images of the real Everest. Some of the images even show how the look of the mountain can change in moment-to-moment gameplay as weather effects change around the player.

EVEREST VR is set to release on VR platforms in 2016, though specifically which platforms and what date is yet unknown. VRFocus will continue to follow the title closely, reporting back with any further updates on it.
