This year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in Los Angeles was a big one for virtual reality (VR) content with Oculus, HTC, and Sony all jostling to show us the best their headsets had to offer in terms of accessories and exclusive content. It’d be easy to forget the offerings of mobile headsets like the Gear VR with these three premium headset giants fighting for your attention, but of course Gear VR wasn’t going to allow that to happen, announcing two new exciting titles that are coming to the headset. The first was CastleStorm from Zen Studios, and the second was a first person shooter from Pixel Toys called Drop Dead.

Drop Dead will be a zombie title that can be played with either a Bluetooth gamepad or with the touchpad controls on the side of the Gear VR headset. Pixel Toys CEO Andrew Wafer described the title as being “very much an experience of arcade style gameplay, we love games like Time Crisis, classics like Serious Sam, we really want those moments of feeling overwhelmed.”

Pixel Toys used E3 to reveal the first footage of Drop Dead ahead of its release this October and now we can bring you a whole bunch of brand new screenshots from the title to feast your eyes on. The screenshots show a colourful and cartoonish gameworld that’s not likely to frighten but certainly does look like fun.
