Just as virtual reality emerged onto the consumer market thanks to Google Cardboard, popular US talk show host Conan O’Brien announced his show Conan would be broadcast from the San Diego Comic-Con 2015 in 360-degrees. Now O’Brien has revealed he’ll be returning to the event and Conan360 will return as well.

The talk show host released a teaser video on the TeamCoCo website unveiling plans for the event, with interviews with the cast and creators of Game of Thrones and the cast of upcoming blockbuster Suicide Squad.

On the Conan360 front the show will be more immersive with four 360-degree cameras filming rather than just one. There’ll be a Conan360 app available for both iOS and Android devices to view the content with a head-mounted display (HMD) like Google Cardboard or any of the other similar headsets available. And for those who don’t own a smartphone compatible HMD, Conan360 has a limited number of customised headsets available for free on its website. Also available on the site are last years videos, 38 in total to watch at your leisure.

The San Diego Comic-Con 2016 takes place in two weeks time, running from 21st – 24th July. Last years event saw several VR experiences unveiled to promote TV shows and movies, such as Pacific Rim VR Experience, Sleepy Hollow VR Experience and The Walking Dead Escape. With the Samsung Gear VR, Oculus Rift and HTC Vive all now available since last years show, VR’s presence should be a lot bigger.

As further details are released on what VR experiences will be at San Diego Comic-Con 2016, VRFocus will let you know.
