We stood on top of the KL Tower for the best view in Kuala Lumpur City! Before exploring the KL tower skybox and viewpoint, we found the best free thing to do in Kuala Lumpur: Bukit Nanas KL Rainforest. It was a completely preserved mini rainforest in the middle of Kuala Lumpur City, right underneath the KL Tower. Best of all? It’s free to explore!

We start the vlog at Bukit Nanas KL Rainforest which is located directly below the KL Tower, also called the Menara KL. Bukit Nanas is the only patch of rainforest still preserved in the heart of Kuala Lumpur City and it’s pretty special. Stroll along the KL Canopy Walk that will take you through the KL Rainforest and uncover beautiful city views at every turn. Although you’re in the middle of Kuala Lumpur Malaysia, you feel completely separated from the bustling city. As the rainforest and KL canopy walk is free, KL Forest Eco Park (aka Bukit Nanas) has to be the best free thing to do in Kuala Lumpur.

After the canopy walk, you’ll find yourself right at the base of the KL Tower. Also called the Menara KL Tower, it is the 7th tallest tower in the world. Although the Petronas Towers are slightly taller than the KL Tower, the Petronas Towers sky bridge is only on the 41st floor. This gives the KL Tower Sky Deck, hands down, the best view in Kuala Lumpur. Don’t forget the KL Tower Skybox if you visit! It is a 3 sided glass enclosure suspended in mid air above the entire Kuala Lumpur City skyline! Great photo opportunity, but not great if you are afraid of heights haha. Don’t forget to look down 🙂

We don’t always hit spots that are this touristy, but out of all the Kuala Lumpur Attractions we knew we wanted to come to the top of the KL Tower most. Bukit Nanas ended up being a very pleasant surprise and we liked it even more than the Menara KL.
