DEMA, the Diving Equipment & Marketing Association is holding its annual show this week in Orlando, Florida. Attending the event will be 360Heros, the New York based virtual reality (VR) technology company that offers a line of camera rigs that utilise GoPro cameras to shoot 360 degree immersive video.

360Heros will be showcasing its full product line-up including the 360Abyss, a housing for full underwater 360 degree videos. Attendees will also be able to demo the company’s latest VR content, and listen to 360Heros present multiple VR seminars. NOGI Award-winning diver Bill Macdonald will join the 360Heros team in presenting VR applications for oceanography, conservation and tourism.

The 360Abyss Professional Pack is designed to offer content creators and divers the ability to film high quality VR 360 video content underwater. It has a depth rating of 1,000 meters and output resolutions as high as 7.5K (7,500 x 3,750 pixels).

The tech company recently announced the issuance of a new patent covering the multi-camera 360 degree video holding assemblies the company has been developing and sharing with content creators since 2012.

The DEMA Show 2015 will take place from Wednesday 4th – Saturday 7th November, at the Orange County Convention Centre. VRFocus will continue to follow the latest announcements from 360Heros, reporting back any updates.
