Back at the beginning of the year VRFocus reported on the launch of HTC’s new ‘This is Real’ video series in promotion of its upcoming HTC Vive virtual reality (VR) head-mounted display (HMD). Starting with Final Approach developer Phaser Lock Interactive, the series has been visiting a number of studios that are working on content for the highly-anticipated device. This week, the developers are in Los Angeles, California to pay a visit to what might be one of the most anticipated titles for the platform, Hover Junkers.

The HTC crew are here shining a spotlight on developer Stress Level Zero. Studio co-founders Brandon Laatsch and Alex Knoll are on hand to discuss the production of Hover Junkers, which mixes first-person shooting with a type of vehicle combat in multiplayer battles. Players choose their own hovercraft, the deck of which they can walk around on using Room Scale user-tracking, and then trade fire with enemy ships using the HTC Vive’s position-tracked controllers.

Stay tuned to VRFocus for the latest updates on Hover Junkers.
