The GoPro Fusion just had a firmware update which increased the video resolution from 5.2k to 5.6k (although it’s meant to capture at 5.8k and downscale). I can’t say I see a massive difference to how it used to be, it was always good in outdoor light (pretty much like any GoPro).
All cameras were on full auto at their highest settings and rendered/stitched in the desktop Windows software which they all come with.
Looking over the footage the GoPro looks great straight out the camera and the stitching between the lenses was the best by far.
The Vuze XR looked the worse out of all of the cameras but it was better than what I was expecting and from my previous tests. The Vuze is the newest camera of all three and will hopefully get a ton more updates to bring it up in line with the other two. It’s stitching was pretty poor, it just blurs the stitch line and doesn’t use optical flow like the GoPro.
The Insta360 One X was just as good looking as the GoPro but it did suffer from lots of lens flares which the others seemed to deal with better. Plus the stitching wasn’t as great as the GoPro and maybe even looked worse than the Vuze in some places, but there are a few stitching options so that might be able to be fixed with some tweaking in the software.
