If you’ve managed to receive your HTC Vive head-mounted display (HMD) already and shooting through waves of the undead is your thing then take a look at Hordez. Released today for the headset on Steam, developer Zenz VR has brought an on-rails shooter to virtual reality (VR) which is on a limited time discount.

Until 6th May 2016 players can get a 25 percent discount off the standard price for Hordez. That brings the title down from £11.99 GBP to £8.99.

Making full use of the HTC Vive’s Room Scale position-tracked controllers Hordez is an intense first-person shooter that should test players skills. Taking the role of an elite mercenary sent to deal with a demonic incursion, players will have a variety of weapons at their disposal to aid their campaign. Pistols, machine guns, grenades and knives can be used to slay the legions of the undead.

Hordez features eight chaotic levels that can be played through in single player or in multiplayer co-op. There’s currently six monster types and five difficulty levels to test your skills. While the videogame supports play areas up to 5 feet by 4 feet it can also be played just standing on one spot.

VRFocus will continue its coverage of Hordez, reporting back on any updates announced for the title.
