This video is an example of using a Insta360 One X camera for doing videos of your motorcycle rides.
Currently, I believe the Insta360 One X camera is the best 360° consumer camera on the market today. It can shoot video in 5.7 K, and has exceptional video stabilization built in. Combine all of this with a small size that can fit in your palm of your hand or your shirt pocket and you really have a marvel of 360° technology.
In this video I have mounted my Insta360 One X camera on a self the stick which extends out from the upper triple tree a couple of feet. As you’ll see from the video, this looks like the cameras floating in air or that there’s a drone actually shooting the footage.
There are 280° lenses mounted on the camera, so you don’t really have to worry about pointing it in any direction, because it shoots everything and then in post production you can edit the parts that you want to include in the finished video.
Keep in mind when viewing this video it was taken after 7 PM and 360° cameras don’t do well in low light situations. Now, with that said you’ll see that this is a pretty detailed video. I shot this and 5.7 K and then in editing reduced it down to 4K. To get the best results when viewing this video, be sure to go full screen and change the resolution all the way up to 4K if your computer or phone can handle it.
A motorcycle I’m writing is a 2017 big dog K-9 clone. This bike was put together by a former technician at big dog motorcycles and one of the things that I like about it is the fact that he used their pitbull tank instead of the normal K-9 tank.
