There are many accessories and motion controllers in development for virtual reality (VR) uses, and at this point in the game it is important to get a good amount of attention to have the chance to be what users will go to first. A team from Dominican Republic have launched an Indiegogo campaign to fund the development of their wireless VR gun controllers, RevolVR, compatible with most – if not all – head-mounted displays (HMD).
RevolVR is a set of low latency controllers for VR video gaming, including a gun a small directional remote. The gun controller has four buttons, including the trigger, reload, special alternative fire, and a button to switch weapons, and the directional remote will let users navigate through their videogame and is said to be able to work with any interface.
Once the team’s campaign target is reached, not only will they produce RevolVR for people to buy, but they will also share the project as it is officially opensource and even openhardware. In the video below showcasing the controllers, Anthony Marques, the PR Manager of RevolVR, says: “We want to be at the forefront of this movement, and right now we have a working prototype that’s ready for mass production. Our goals is to get RevolVR to work right – just make a device that’s easy to use, works, and that people love.”
The campaign still has two months left to reach the final goal of $25,000 USD, and even has an interesting option to donate $1,999 to spend five days on holiday with the RevolVR team.
