Today’s RAW support update from VSCO isn’t the only thing the film emulation and photography presets company had up their sleeve. They also debuted something called VSCO X.

VSCO X is an invite-only membership for the most dedicated (read: obsessed) VSCO users. If you do manage to get an invite, VSCO X will still cost you, but it’s a great deal when you break it down. For just $20 per year, you get access to all of VSCO’s presets (that’s over $200 of in-app purchases) and early access to something new called Film X.

Film X presets differ from VSCO’s typical preset experience. Instead of taking a picture and then fiddling with it later, the Film X presets can be applied and altered while you’re taking the photo. Fine-tuning things like warmth and preset strength happens in-camera while you’re framing your photo.

At launch, Film X will include four different presets that you’ll only be able to access if you’re a VSCO X member. Speaking of which, if you haven’t already received an invite from some VSCO influencer, you can put your name on a VSCO X invite waiting list here.
