Console and PC-based virtual reality (VR) is right around the corner, but mobile VR isn’t going anywhere. With devices ranging from the low-end to high-end in the likes of the Google Cardboard and Samsung Gear VR head-mounted displays (HMDs) respectively, this area of the industry has a healthy future ahead of it. Designing high quality mobile VR titles can be challenging, though, especially when content is stacked up to what’s possible on the Oculus Rift, HTC Vive and PlayStation VR. With that in mind, this new session at the 2016 Virtual Reality Developers Conference (VRDC) and Game Developers Conference (GDC) should prove useful to developers.

ARM Software Graphics Engineer, Roberto Lopez Mendez, Unity Americas Director & Global Leader of Evangelism, Carl Calleweart, and nDreams CEO, Patrick O’Luanaigh will be hosting a session titled ‘Achieve High Quality Mobile VR Games‘ during this March’s event. The session will detail how to get the best graphics for mobile VR using the popular Unity engine, while nDreams will offer a look at its own mobile titles, including Perfect Beach. Each presenter will also give their predictions for the future of VR.

VRDC and GDC run from 14th – 18th March. VRFocus will be at both to deliver the latest updates on VR technology.
