With virtual reality (VR) hackathons a popular opportunity for those in the industry to create and experiment with new ideas, the events fill up fast as they also provide great networking options. Taking place in January is the first European event VR-Hackathon Brussels, Belgium, being organised by EUVR – a European platform for VR devs and enthusiasts, the Microsoft Innovation Center and the Clusters screen.brussels and software.brussels.

The weekend long hackathon begins on 15th – 17th January 2016 at 6pm, for an intense two days of VR design and implementation. Attending will be European tech developers, game programmers, UI/UX designers, artists, animators, storytellers, enthusiasts and professionals, who want to create an open VR community. This community along with the Web3D Consortium and sponsors help make events like this happen.

The VR-Hackathon will be held at Co-Station, 5 Place Sainte Gudule, Brussels, Belgium. Tickets are still available for the Hackers Expo for those interested in the pitching session, but the main tickets are sold out.

VRFocus will continue to report on all the latest VR Hackathons taking place across the globe, as details are revealed.
