It was almost a year ago now that virtual reality (VR) marketing specialist, Virtual Umbrella, opened its doors for the first time. In the year that’s followed the UK-based company has been seen at a wide range of events across the country, most recently helping out with the VRUK Festival in London. You can expect to hear even more from the group going forward, however, as the team has today announced that is to open an office in London and expand its staff.

Virtual Umbrella has announced that is has been accepted into the Ravensbourne Incubation programme, and will be opening an office at the site on the Greenwich Peninsula. Within the next few months the company plans to make some key hires, introduce a brand new website and reveal some new strategic partnerships. There are also plans to start up a bi-weekly newsletter, with signups now available through the current site.

“We are so excited to be a part of a great industry, filled with amazing people,” Virtual Umbrella’s Samantha Kingston told VRFocus in a statement. “The last 12 months have been phenomenal for our company, we look forward to seeing what the future brings.”
