Virtual reality (VR) enthusiasts have a keen community spirit wherever they are based across the world. Its why the smaller VR meetups have not only found success but also cultivated strong bonds with organisers and developers to continue the trend. A new meetup group Virtual Reality North East (VRNE) will be hosting its first event tomorrow evening based on the fundamentals of VR and business.

Taking place at the VRTGO Labs in the Baltic Digital Quarter, Gateshead, Newcastle Upon Tyne, UK, the VRNE event is running from 6.45pm – 9.45pm GMT, Tuesday 19th January. Under the banner of ‘Virtual Reality and Business: The Basics’, the evening will see discussions from a range of people including Shaun Allan , Co-founder and Managing Director of studio Vector 76, which has developed VR and AR applications for art installations, road safety campaigns and architectural projects.

This is a small gathering with only three spots still available out of fifteen (at the time of writing), with further details, contact information for the group as well as the option to RSVP the last spots on the VRNE meetup group page.

VRFocus will continue to follow all the latest VR meetups from around the world as more are organised and announced.
