More meetup news has been announced, this time by the recently formed VAR (Virtual+Augmented Reality) Forum. The new San Francisco, California-based group will be holding its launch event this coming Monday 22nd, February 2016.  

For the launch the official description reads: “Meet industry professionals and hear knowledgeable panel speakers on how they are leveraging virtual reality and augmented technology to revolutionise the future. Speakers will discuss insight about Virtual & Augmented realities in engaging with consumers. This innovative event is a cross industry event for artists, engineers, programmers, designers, creatives, hardware manufacturers, researchers & makers. It is a forward thinking event focused on expanding ones knowledge base about virtual and/or augmented reality.”

The VARForum launch runs from 6pm to 8:30pm with tickets priced at $20.00 USD, and the meetup page states the ‘location is only shown to members’. Although when following the RSVP link the Eventbright page it takes you to does list, WeWork – 535 Mission Street, San Francisco, CA.

VARForum also has two further events planned, one in June 2016 themed on Realizing Our Reality & The Future Meet, and the second is in September, looking at VR & Fashion Tech.
